War of the mind on love of a woman
Is it wrong or is it right?
I search for the answers every night,
The heart is tired of all its longing
To find someone to fill its calling,
To love, to live, to laugh to cry,
A simple answer to the question why?

A risk to take for what it’s worth,
Captivating my mind, it is my curse.
She’s perfect in every way,
But will it last for another day?
A question present in my mind
Is this love that I find?

I hope, I wish, I dream, I pray,
To find the answer on this day,
Beauty, intelligence, her laughter too,
Captivates my mind in solitude.
When every song reminds me of her,
Why am I wondering what I prefer?

Patience is key; I’ll take my time,
And fill the longing in word and rhyme
If I miss her more each passing second,
It can’t be wrong; No second guessing.
Still I say I’ll decide tomorrow,
Hoping she won’t fill me with sorrow

So now I live with this in thought,
How much time have I bought?
A girl like her is hard to find,
She’ll be swept up in a matter of time,
But still I sit in this late hour,
Pondering, if she’s my flower.
