Entry for Writer's Cramp.
Into bathroom stall I slip
Moments to myself to hide
The door opens and what walks in
Loud the voice it carries through
I try to focus here in my place
But words they warble
And mount the walls
Cling and gash in anger falls
Around me I cannot hide
What this girl feels deep inside
It blisters, carries, ring 'round me
Her torment mounts
Her tears reverberate
I want to say, to help her out
But she shouts a final roar
Then throws her phone
To rattle across the floor
I linger where I am
Fearing movement will
Bring my presence into being
Making her torment
All the more humiliating
I stay where I am
And let her compose herself
She will go never knowing
That I heard and witnessed
Her breakup and demise.
