Within the darkness of his(our)plight I stand, I refuse to move, I refuse him peace.

Upon the wind
Leans a man
I’m not him
He’s not me
We
Are the same
Or so
It must seem
His name
Pointless
Mine
Fictitious
Everything
About him
About I
Is false
Faked
Dubiously stated
To absolute strangers
And again everything
All of it
A mountain of lies
Built upon nothing
As defined
He
That man
The one close
The one
I don’t know
He
Gave me this life
This prison
Of rescinded rights
His eyes
His spine
Crooked in kind
His lips
Often moving
Giving me
Absolute heck
Ordering me
Commanding
Demanding
Further requiring
What it is
That he wishes
All of it
I won’t
Never
Nope
He
Is my muse
Just one
Amongst some
His constant abuse
What he says
And how he begs
Telling me
Again and again
One to the heart
One to the head
Be gone
Out of life
Out of sight
But I’m here
Staring clear
I stay
So that he
Has to
I endure
So that he
Is required to
His anger
A weakness
His hatred
Used to my advantage
I take him to task
But I’m unsure
That he even knows
That he even understands
This
Our symbiotic relationship
I’m full of toxins
Repugnant
Vile
Disgusting
And disgusted
I’m poisoning him
One line
After every other
I won’t ever give in
Give up
Relent
I stay
And
So he has to…
