Twisted Taunting Minds

And so the time has come
We raise our glasses to cheer
Ren the Klutz! and fyn
For all their hard work
And twisted prompts
Pulling words from exile
And recording them
As words to include;
All the while forbidding words
Which would make sense.
These two and their banter
Sit and snicker at us
As we twist and confine ourselves
Within the parameters.
They sip their tea
With their dolls at hand,
Laughing all the way,
But now it’s time
To put away the birthday platters
Tidy away the debris
And consider what is next.
We wait with baited breath,
Hoping it will become easier,
But knowing,
Their taunting minds
Will send us on our way...
Into a poetic frenzy
That will cause us both
Enjoyment and despair.
