How will you view yours?
Perspective

Author's Note: This was written by a friend; when I found it, it was an unfinished poem. So in honor of the beauty that I saw within the lines, I decided to pick up where my friend left off. I hope you enjoy.

I can be small, I could be big;
I may come quickly or arrive slowly;
I can be gentle or I could be strong.
I may arrive in times of trouble or times of peace;
I could come alone or show with others;
I may slow time with my arrival or speed it up;
I could bring joy or I could bring fear;
I may be stepped on and go unnoticed
I was one that cannot be heard
But as many; O we cannot be ignored!
To some, I am an adventure, to others; a burden.
I may be bleak and bland;
Or I could be like the stars that bring excitement
Like an old mystery that waits to be discovered.

I may vanish but with a hint of sunlight; I reappear.
I can kill but life will always come after me
I am a sign of purity, but to others;
Just a waste of time and effort.
What am I?
Why I am a snowflake;
Dancing, dancing, dancing
Across your window sill
and walks through the air you breathe.
But the better question is...

What is your perspective going to be
On the day that lies ahead?
