If a September WDC virtual convention were to materialize this might be it?
Zoom, I'm hurtling, spinning through dark internet space
to meet, zero in on a WDC face.
         An online writer's convention celebrates
all dabblers, all scribblers, all us reprobates.
We compare callouses from pens held too tight
our eyes bleary, weary from many late nights.
In the glow of mute screens our sallow skin haunts.
Our mutual love to write does not us daunt.
Brother Nature sways, weaves on his feet
         Slurping down a banana aperitif.
Andre his bar monkey pal swings, squints, chatters
questionable muse but fun when it matters.
Ẃeβ࿚ẂỉԎḈĥ 's magic charm lights up the meet.
She jokes, shares humour as we meer writers greet.
An avid, active WDC spell weaver
Cheerleader, a can do spirit, believer.
Kåre Enga UdonThani 🇹🇭 is a most wondrous 'wordsmyth'
Fresh perspective, scene painter, not always blyth.
Candid, blunt blogger with resonant insights
he regales us with travel-tale thoughts, delights.
scottfraser a newbie tour de force
has galloped in on a Cramp--led winning horse.
A confessed writer of random hobby stuff
He flashes Sharpie skills, silly, off the cuff. ( 24 lines )
