the next step in evolution
Brave New World--apologies to Aldous Huxley

We will be brave
embrace our pain
cry and shine
stray from the crafty line
that only humans matter.
We will escape the trap
of the anthropocene
settle in the cracks
of slime molds, fungi, leopards.
We will watch our worries
sparkling anxieties
drain away.
We will trim AI to a nubbin.
