Recovery From Sickness

Lowest lows that the body can physically get to,

Weakness that the body sees as an issue.

Heaviness from the aches and pains that I feel with every second that passes,

Have to take care of me before I can get to the masses.

Appreciative more of health more than ever, so now I'm eager,

To find all angles that I can conquer this fever.

The answer is self care, patience, and time,

Knowing that I'll be okay in the end, with my subconscious mind.

This moment of sickness has helped me to love myself even more,

Reflecting on the times of health where I had so much in store,

How I could use the healing not only for myself,

But to spread it, plus love, to those I care about in order to increase their health.

I recognize the power of simple gestures towards a person,

How a love letter written with genuine care can enhance a relationship, no need for it to be cursive.

So in times of future sickness, I'll have folks who'll care for me,

Folks who I can trust to handle business when I'm not there to see.

The hate that dwelled within is slowly dissipating,

Not just speaking positivity, but practicing it is fascinating.

A wise individual told me something in anger & strife:

That before I try to teach others, that I follow my OWN advice.

Though it was misunderstanding, it made me realize,

I need to lead by example, cause the real see with real eyes.

Word to Tupac for that last line.

Physically, I'm recovering, but mentally, I feel so fine.

Sickness, darkness, & harsh moments have always taught me how important it is to be better.

Though my physical form may not be here always, my words, actions, & poems will make me live forever.
