About a failed relationship.
Where Cornwall meets Devon
We have a house of stone.
Trout stream winding
Around willows,
A view of the Moors.
It was what you wanted,
you said.

We bought it from two
leaving for Auckland,
that old barge barn,
upsidedown for the
views of the Moors.
You could be happy there,
you said.

I have never lived there,
In England, in Cornwall,
in St Giles-on-Heath,
with its upsidedown
view of the Moors.
It was what you wanted,
you said.

In this April fog,
the mountains reach
for the plains,
In Colorado, with my
view of the Rockies,
It was what I wanted,
I said.
