eternity beckons through our mortality
Horizon fences
rushing time,
damming dripping days
that relentlessly well
ever closer to last moments
when all shall break
against the wall
and crash
in one vast splash
of ending now;
where wind and water
are one with sun
and mortals see
with immortal eyes
time undone.
