My father tells me stories of the angels who cause the storms . . .
This is an illustration for a poem about lightning and thunder.

Angel Play

The chorus of angels has fun now and then.

As they gallop about on their black-clouded steeds,

They wallop the ground with a loud, booming din,

Laughing in rumbles as small clouds stampede.

I hear them frolicking each time when it rains.

Then my dad tells me tales of their games in the night.

So as lightning descends in long silver chains,

I smile with delight, as Dad turns out the light.
