Note to a tempestuous lover (12 line verse, sparse rhyme)
A blissful wind brought me to you,
Who hail from depths beyond my dreams.
Yet may I find no port in our storm?
—I'm not sound for the sea, it seems.

These sudden, desperate waves, I fear;
Storms can take an awesome toll.
So please, don't bring the thunder here—
Telling me I own your soul-—

But, give me sand beneath my feet,
An ever-present view of sea:
In time I shall abandon shore,
And dare to swim in Destiny.
