CLAIMED BY THE SEA

A quiet little seaside town
becomes a haunted place at night
when the cemetery comes alive
and ghosts walk by the sea.
What they search for is unknown
and they may never ever find it;
for the sea shanty was washed away,
in the sea's grasp - long gone.

A widows walk held memories
but no one walks and waits
Love long dead grieves alone.
The ship sank off the coast
as the widow watched and wailed;
and the sea claimed its own,
washing clean the sands of time.
No reason and no rhyme...

No reason and no rhyme...
