The rise and fall of the heart as seasons of the year.
Tears fell down
midst October rain,
A symbol, a statement
of the heartache and pain.

What bloomed in spring,
now fades away.
A flower torn asunder,
since its birth in May.

It shone so bright,
through summer's day,
but in autumn night,
it lost its way.

Gentle flakes
of winter cold,
lay chilling bonds,
on feelings old.

But perhaps again,
in early spring,
the woeful heart,
once more will sing.
