A little poem about how important dreams make me feel.
So in the night I may escape reality
And in my dreams leave my human frailty.
While my spirit soars amongst the clouds,
My mind and body rest on the ground.
So beautiful are my visions of slumber,
I think of the waking world with a shudder.

Are dreams from God? I don't know and I don't care.
Isn't it enough that they are always there?
Always ready to take us away;
A sweet little pill, releasing our pain.
Old friends reunited, and new friends are found
In those few blissful hours our heads are down.

As my eyes close, with excitement my heart pounds
At the world I'm in until my alarm sounds.
Perhaps I'll be a brave warrior
Or maybe a rockstar out on tour.
For through all my troubles it always seems
I will always find peace whenever I dream.
