Mankind's humanity will never fathom God's Divinity.

The sun quietly slips through the darkness each morn,
New possibilities and scenarios are born.
The atmosphere is charged with an enabling force,
As we eagerly structure and arrange our own course.

High anticipation changes all over the scale,
Maturity dictates if we'll succeed or fail.
In how we see and approach each other in life,
Co-worker, friends, children, husband or wife.

Those relationships, the most important of all,
Answering those needs when we receive the call.
Listening, encouraging, providing a safe place,
For those whose troubles are too hard to face.

Determined that offenses not remain in our mind,
We'll just shake them off, by doing, we'll find,
A higher level from where we can see,
What good things He has for you and for me.

But we're constantly selfish ... stubborn with pride,
Unwilling to surrender and see His side.
We want our own way no matter the cost,
Believing our way, when in reality ... we're lost.

We're unable to bend; refusing to yield,
Continuing to abuse, cheat, lie and steal.
Our flesh is satisfied for a very short time,
But over and over we commit the same crime.

Rationalizing with a deceiver's appeal,
Powerless to repent and get down and kneel.
Obstinate, self-serving and wicked each day,
Non-compliance IS our habit and way.

He'll give us more than we could ask or think,
Living Water quenching us whenever we drink.
Performing miracles for those who believe,
Manifesting His love in all our needs.

Allelujah! B E H O L D ! The Bethlehem Babe,
Blew breath in Adam's nostrils and . . . was made!
The Lily of the Valley, the Mighty Nazarene,
Making young men have visions; their old men dream.

The universe is enormous, I'm a blip on His stage,
But my name's recorded in the Book of Life's page.
I'll discover my purpose, the grand scheme He chose,
Reaching fulfillment when my eyes finally close.

Ready to see Him, Glorious & Grand!
Stretching out far for His Holiest Hand.
Attaining the prize of ultimate rest,
Coming to stillness upon His strong chest.

Abba, Abba, I have earned my New Home,
Peace, New Jerusalem, Shalom, Shalom.
