... It is remarkable that we can each take into heed of ourselves, and hope. A brighter future; wish that hardships lived will dissipate, and the glory inherent Which in our souls shine empowers us all; I can't. The emotional common denominator to capture that bird of joy eluded Vanquished from the baron mental plane of lone mind, soul Absent of sound, breath, and touch love's lyre music begs found. Seen passages urging life's journey, just the one. |
... Discipline and Demands Sometimes God will give us what we demand and let us take the consequences. This is not because he hates us or has given up on us. As harsh as those consequences may be, they are still under the control of a God who loves us and a God who sees. He sees the big picture. He sees what's coming. He knows the events and challenges for which we need to be prepared. In Hebrews, we read, "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it" (12:11). God's discipline trains us. It produces righteousness and peace. And God knows we desperately need these things. Just as a caring coach disciplines a player, God, in his care, may send a corrective discipline into the lives of his children. His discipline is intended to prepare us for the challenges and conflicts that lie in our future. Jeff Manion |
... "Many common problems are caused by wrong attitudes. People see themselves as the center of the universe and judge everything as it relates to them. Naturally you won't be happy that way. You can only be happy when you see things in proper perspective: all human beings are of equal importance in God's sight, and have a job to do in the divine plan." Peace Pal |
... Let go...move on... Stuck where loves moments did pass unable to move, stuck in the past Those moments that fill life, overflowing the brim. Lost to the past..lost to the past. Shaking my head as tears hit the glass. Stuck in those moments long ago past. Breath of hope lost in loves grasp. |
... To undertake a genuine spiritual path is not to avoid difficulty but is to learn the art of making mistakes wakefully, to bring to them the transformative power of our heart. - Jack Kornfield |
... Remember When the twilight age dawns for me, and you. Remember when we're both old, with living too. Life teased with joy; a story waged in truth. Where the rain fell, and life soaked our shoes. Both old enough to know now loves deep blues. Sworn to each, we would pass arm in arm. Longing past passage, never would age do you harm. I closed the windows, and pulled the blinds. In darkness I pour a drink, to coax memories of those gentle times. When a smile, a touch, brought warmth to life's rhyme. Counting the moments till again you will be held in my arms, Would that angels have but a thimble of your charm. In dull understanding my heart suddenly beats quickly in praise; Realizing in gladness, I'd been blessed to live in your sun those days. Your gift, your beautiful self, my mind overcome by your grace. Awe giving closeness, bound us together, fine tuned, loves mates. Whirling to heights, far out of sight, I take my last sip, and dream. Eternal life bound us together; though alone, love stays. |
... Memories never fade, growing in strength each passing day. Kind passage time caressed once known to a love entrenched. When cared for kindness is emerged in the heart of love. Mine does weep for that girl once shared what I speak of. Times keep presenting themselves of when she would fall asleep so angelically on the couch in the living room, late in the night, I would lift her in my arms, carrying her into the bedroom, and trying really hard, to be gentle, laying her on the bed so she would not wake(without success sometimes) I'd cover her, and tuck her in. I would kiss her forehead, wishing her a special, soothing rest. I would often go back to the living room for some time, while she slept by herself. While alone with her so close I could feel her warmth, and taste even her sweet breath in just the next room, I'd dream of her, counting myself so blest by God to have such amazing beauty so close. When the night past late for me, I'd turn off the lights, lock the door, and go lay with her on that single bed; delightful her close warmth. When in the morning I would wake to find again her mental alarm clock had risen her earlier than I. and she was gone until next meet. As rolling waves of the ocean flow in and out upon the shore, with the sun gleaming its brilliance for God's touch to behold; my heart longs to hold her hand one time again, capturing loves eternal score. |
... Crippled, mad, and sad, Clouds never in this hallowed land. |
... I don't know what I'm looking for, Cannot see where I have been. I don't know why I think Of that one fine girl again. She see's me without seeing me, She knows my earthly mane. How can it be she knows Says there it is, look there that way, What you seek is there revealed. I don't know what to say, to whom, or why. She occupies my loving heart My mind even my soul alive. Yet I am, I still don't know, Now more thoughts added to the toe. |
