Theanne is a little timid at first. Unsure of what she is willing to afraid to take that step that would take her out of her comfort zone of friends and residence and away from Chase.

By the end of the book she has learned to stand firm when faced with extreme opposition. She is willing to let go of the comfortable routine and go for the brass ring. She choses to do the right thing when pressed to give up the painting for monetary gain.
She gives up Chase who has to make his own decsions about his RULES.
In the end she gets Chase, and her job is expanded from Marketing assistant to VP of the company over sales/Mketing. (Also wife of the owner)
