twinkledee ♥'s you once blogged about Hoodwinked, this independent CGI film and said something about Ben Folds being in the soundtrack. Well, I was clicking on this and that last night, ya know, trying to find something of interest to me, and I found out that our Pinoy band Pupil is also on its soundtrack. The song on the video I posted last night is a song from the same band, and I adore their music. Just like I told Twink on e-mail I also have the 'biggest crush' on Ely Buendia, Pupil's vocals.

http://www.titikpilipino.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=140&pos=6

That's what he looks like. I remember when I was in my internship at PLDT, I was proofreading some documents and one of the files I stumbled upon was his (he's from the same city as me). I am the biggest dork cause I grinned like an idiot.

I even found him on Wikipedia, and it said:

Eleandre Basino Buendía (born November 2, 1970) is a popular Filipino musician, best known as guitarist and lead vocals in the Pinoy rock band The Eraserheads. As one-fourth of the group Eraserheads, he heavily contributed a great deal when it came to songwriting, and to the development of Pinoy rock during the 1990s. He is dubbed as the Philippine John Lennon because of his genius songwriting and unique guitar skills.

Over the years though, Buendia has become more subdued, melancholy, and even more depressed-looking. The guy has some serious issues, well, most rockstars do. Is that really the price for fame?

When the Eraserheads were still together I remember him as a mellow but humurous guy who has a lot of charisma. After ten successful years for the eHeads they disbanded. He's formed other bands since then, and now, he's got Pupil. He also used to have a weekly column in one of the biggest newspapers here in our country but due to full gig schedules he was forced to give that up. He's one of the biggest rock icons here in the Phi and I guess this is my way of writing a tribute about him.

This is one of the things I will miss the most in my country, the Pinoy rock scene. I have this friend Ivy and she left for the states about nine months ago. We're the same in a lot of ways and she got REALLY homesick the first few months. She said she even cried when she discovered www.eradioportal.com and heard NU107 streaming through (rock radio station here). See, I got that linked on my favorites right there. *Smile* I was actually planning on applying for a rock jockey position there but the whole move is on the go so, never mind.

Okay, back to Hoodwinked! I also found out that it is the first feature length CGI production made in the Philippines. The whole production was developed using Maya software. I don't have a clue as to what Maya software is, what can I say, I'm outdated, but I still say, yay *Smile*

The family and I went to Ate Grace's house yesterday, Sunday is sorta like our visit day, and things are being planned for our move. We're already starting to organize stuff, we decided to do the whole thing gradually rather than cram on the last couple of weeks. Our house is looking like an evacuation center now more than ever. This morning we went over the 'wares' (you know, chinawares, silverwares, tupperwares) and oh, have I told you how much JUNK we have stored up in this house??? It's crazy!

Anyway, I've got another video.

I know, I know.

Well, I kinda remember Wendopolis asking for a video of someone eating balut wayyy back when on Equilibrium 's blog. I don't know why I remember these stuff! So, I video'd E while she was eating some. *Bigsmile* Papa and I convinced her to eat the chick part, and you'll see her face scrunch up and all, but, really, she liked it!

Other stuff in the vid:

more of our town, dusk
us three sisters screaming Koopa to his death and defeat (we didn't quite succeed)
me eating yellow cab, super fast clip cause the battery went dead on E
Curee eating balut

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJl89tdo1PY

If I haven't gotten around to leaving a comment on your blog today, I'm gonna try and do so later tonight, or as soon as our DSL connection recovers. PLDT said they're having a major network problem.. (eyes narrowing before clicking on 'Save Entry!') SAVE!

[Song: Akin Ka Na Lang by the Itchyworms]

‘Wag kang maniwala d’yan, ‘di ka n’ya mahal talaga.
Don't believe that guy, cause he really doesn't love you.

Sayang lang ang buhay mo kung mapupunta ka lang sa kanya.
If you end up with him your life will just be a total waste.

This is such a fun song.

Iiwanan ka lang n’yan, mag-ingat ka,
He'll just leave you, so take caution,

Dagdag ka lamang sa milyun-milyong babae n’ya!
'Cause you're just an addition to his million other girls!

Translating is fun... sorta. *Confused*

Akin ka na lang, iingatan ko ang puso mo.
So be mine instead and I'll take care of your heart.

I am so in love with that song, people! And basically that's just what I am. I think I'm perpetually in love with people, and life, in general. I just left all my friends 'I love you' comments in their friendster accounts, sort of like the more popular and used version of Myspace here. Nah, they wouldn't get freaked out by that, they're kinda used to my sappiness by now. *Smile*

And, oh, have I told you lately? I love you! *Wink*

... di naman sa sinisiraan ko ang panget na yan.
it's not like I'm bitching about that ugly jerk.

‘Wag ka dapat sa’kin magduda, hinding-hindi kita pababayaan!
But you don't have to doubt me, cause I'll never ever let you down!

Other than listening to this song, I've got nothing. My Saturday night will be spent in front of this computer. The weather's been really gloomy, rain, drizzle, drops, wind, thunder, lightning, more wind, more rain. I'm lovin' it, though. The Lord knows we all need some cooling off right now!

I can't believe it, but I can see my dad watching an old Harisson Ford romance movie. I'm clueless about the title, but it's that flick where Ford crashes this plane in some strange island and gets stuck there with some skinny blonde. Haha, I really can't believe it, Papa's so not the type to watch that. Love must be in the air or something.

[Next song, Sirang Romantiko by Put3ska]

Sa iyong ngiti, at kislap ng iyong mata,
In your smile, and the sparkle in your eyes,

at kilos ng iyong labi, ako'y nabighani.
and by the movement of your lips... I am dazzled.

Aww. I'm such a dork *Bigsmile*

No! No, this just in from the news! A stupid drunk provincial cop from Bulacan just shot a boy that was just innocently sitting on top of a tall metal tower! Apparently he was with a couple of other drunk friends and they saw the kid hanging out on the top. He told them, "I'm gonna shoot that kid." And he did! The kid's body fell down from that tall tower and hit all the metal rails all the way down! You can imagine what happened to the poor kid's body!

When they interviewed the idiot he was so careless, so apathetic, so unfeeling about the whole thing. "I shot him. So what?" was what he told the media. Oh, man.

Forget it, I am not in love with all people anymore.

I'm kinda pissed today for a reason. Maybe I woke up in the wrong side of bed. I want to listen to Mae and burst into songs! I don't know where their CD is, though, somehow it went missing again. Arghness. I also wanted to blog about a lot of things lately. Manta Rays, the Subic Rape Case, a preaching I heard from Joyce Meyer, Atong Ang returning to the Phi... but I keep putting it off. I'm all bleh. Maybe later.

Hope you guys are having a good night, and if you're not... just think of Manta Rays. They're a thing of beauty.

I was a kid, not any older than twelve years of age, when I rode a tricycle to get to our hardware store. I was wearing these white shorts, and halfway through the ride I noticed that the driver of the tricycle kept glancing at me. I started to get scared—even kids can read looks. And he's definitely got that perv look mastered.

It's amazing how a simple glance or look can express tons. One look and you'll know how a person is feeling. One look and you'll know how a person feels. One look and you'll know what a person really means.

Just to finish the story that idiot perv driver started telling me stuff that he really shouldn't be telling kids, or anyone, for that matter. By then I was really scared, I wanted to jump out of the moving tricycle but I toughed it out. I ignored him the best way I could and tried not to look at his leering face as much as possible. What a creep! When I finally got to our hardware store I was pretty shaken, and after a while burst into tears and told Ate Grace everything. You should have seen her look. She looked like she wanted to kill the driver. Man she was steaming.

My sister and I had a couple more encounters with that kind. There was this shoe-maker near the bakery a couple of steps away from our hardware store, and whenever Ate Grace and I would buy some bread, he kept looking at us with this evil look on his face. You just know that something's up. I didn't notice it at first, I was just a kid then, but Ate Grace did. When I started to notice her glaring at the shoe-maker and saw how that perv looked at me, things started to make sense. Anyway my sister told Papa everything and my father, well, he stormed over to the shoe-maker's direction and really let him have it. My father was mad, see, no one can mess with his girls *Smile*

Some guys are real creeps, aren't they. But I believe that there's more out there that are not. Yep, call me an optimist! But just take my father. He's... the best. Yeah, of course I would think that. Haha. One look from my dad and I know how he's feeling or what he really means. He gets this really goofy look when he's happy. He gets this really lost look when he's hungry. He's got a lot of looks and I've got them all mastered, so I know when to back off and everything *Laugh*

There's something about a way a guy looks. Maybe it's just me, maybe a guy can also say, 'there's something about a way a woman looks!' But, hey, you know what, I'm straight, so I'll leave that up to the men! *Wink*

When a guy stares at me in obvious admiration, I can feel flattered, sometimes uncomfortable, a lot of times awkward. When a guy stares at me with an entirely different look prior to the things he just said, I'll know what's up and what he really means. When a guy stares at me when he's mad, I'll know when it's time to just shut up. A lot of looks, a lot of emotions behind them, a lot of different reactions those looks can stir in me. I'm not sure about the rest of you, but for me there's just something powerful about the way a guy can look. I'm trying to think if the way women look at me holds the same weight... nah. Except for my mother. That woman's looks could kill!

I'm not even sure why I blogged all about this. I just woke up so maybe it has got something to do with my dream. I guess all I'm trying to say is... I've encountered a lot of leering looks and perv looks and whatnot. But you know what, just one open, loving, totally pure and honest look from a man can make everything else disappear.

I just finished reading all your blogs, and I hope I didn't miss anyone. I've got a major headache and it's driving me nuts. I was asleep most of the day trying to get rid of it, but then my friend Jason had to wake me up with a really pointless phone call. Gotta love friends.

Anyhoo, everybody on this site's been preeetty busy lately. I mean, Equilibrium just finished her raffle thingy, and now she's on that auction bit. Wolfedale 's writing this story about (ahem) us, well it's not really all about us but the characters are based on us, so it's really cool. Then Gaby ~ Keeper Of The Realm is doing a raffle for Laart1-Season of the Heart , and she just sent me a cute sig, by the way. I just love that girl! Even Z.˚rz just finished the spanking new newsletter! What is up with everybody!!!

I suggest you check these links out and start supporting them *Bigsmile* They are such valuable members of this site and it's time they get recognition for it.

And if you haven't voted for Blogger of the Month yet, can you please do it now? Do I have to grovel and beg and threaten you with kisses? C'mon! David McClain , there, I just made it easier. *Bigsmile* Seriously though, do it before the 23rd!

Me? I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy everything these people have done while I numb myself with extraordinary laziness. Remember, people, HEADACHE here, c'mon, cut me some slack *Wink*

Ugh, Mike's at the door. Later.

My Sunday was real mellow. I went to the dentist and almost fell asleep at the lobby, the wait was too long. Then I bought ice cream and indulged myself in something delicious that I can actually eat. I also bought these superb-tasting nuts for Maricor and my dad and I can only sniff in misery while I watched them eat *Frown*

As soon as the air got cool this evening I walked around our village with Equilibrium . We ate at my favorite gotohan (the Japanese food shop beside it was closed *Frown*) then started walking around and around. Mike and Ramon texted and wanted to get together but I was too happy hanging out with my sister... yihee! *Delight* Anyway we took a couple of shots around the Vill, E and I. Just look at her in this picture!

She had no clue, huh! *Bigsmile*

This next pic is a newly-opened coffee shop at some corner. I didn't take the shot closer so this picture looks like crap.

The next two pics were randomly taken by E and me... too bad it didn't capture Salts & Spirits, my favorite bar here in Pilar. It was just a couple of steps away... t'was dead-looking at that time, though. The place only starts looking alive at around 9 or 10 pm.

This final shot is taken by Equilibrium . She's a great photographer, my sister!!!

This art is manually drawn on the wall and is only one of many. We have a whole stretch of that concrete wall and there are lots of beautiful drawings in each partition. Maybe next time I'll come back and take more.

I also wanted to take a picture of the clown giving out flyers on Rose Corner, but I was afraid that he was not going to like some random girl taking a picture of him. I reluctantly backed off with the cam with him eyeing me curiously.

Now I think I walked too much—my back is starting to hurt again. Ouch. Plus Kuku is bugging me on my cell! Later!

My dad's listening to the Beatles! I'm singing along at the top of my lungs!

I get high! I get high! I get HIGH!!!

Hahaha! I love this song.

It's Saturday morning. The sun is shining and I could hear a dirty ice cream vendor outside. Yum.

I just finished checking up on all your blogs... yup. And I think I'm gonna have to go to the bathroom in a couple of seconds.

Hey Zack! I just saw your comment thingy on Deb's blog... and I'm really annoyed! Maybe someday I just might prove you wrong!

Uh... someday in the very far future. I asked my father if I could get one and he gave me the most disgusted glare *Laugh*

Besides, tongue ring and braces all in one mouth? That's kind of gross, now that I think about it.

Oh, and I almost forgot—a new mole suddenly appeared at my left palm. It's a really small and light brown beauty mark. Can they do that? Just suddenly appear? Just wondering.

[Edit]

I'm a freakin' banana. *Smile*

Last night I slept kind of late, around... 2 am, you see Pmay was online and we ended up chatting from 12am to 1:30 am. I was really sleepy but there was just too many things to say, ya know? But I realized there was a purpose to it all. When I got off the PC I noticed that our flower horn's oxygen hose had been removed. Had I slept early I wouldn't have seen that, and our fish could've died.

So anyway. I woke at around 7am, and my eyes had red lines all over them. Yuck. I used to be so used to sleeping at like 2am but that isn't the case now. I went back to sleep at around 11am and I just woke up like half an hour ago. Woke up to disgusting heat, that is.

Well, I'm just rambling. This day's so hot and boring. It's like this heat is draining all the energy out of me. I'm too lazy to do anything, but I hate it that I'm doing nothing. Go figure.

I am THE bum. I'm telling you, I am. There's times when I love it, you know, just hanging around and doing nothing at all, but there are also times when I get bored out of my mind. I don't know what to make out of that. But I guess that's just normal.

I have officially become a Star Wars fan. Thanks to Equilibrium . She was the one who borrowed those stupid DVDs from Edieboy's sister. Now I can't stop thinking about how Padme died. So sad! And Anakin's so STUPID, it's annoying! Geeze I hate that guy.

But I am totally in love with Master Yoda. Heheheh. The little guy is too cute for words. And Han Solo, I love him! Luke Skywalker is beyond lame, though. Like father, like son, I guess.

(ducks and hides as Skywalker fans throws stuff)

What else... man this heat is so annoying! Grrr!

Video for today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erGt-zXsGWc

I really missed hearing that song, and it's one of my favorite local videos. It's funny... good stuff.

Can you totally tell that I'm stretching this entry to as far as it would go? You see after this I got nothing to do again! How totally pathetic, huh!

Oh, and I watched Happy Gilmore again for no reason at all last night. I love the lameness of that Shooter guy. Hehehe. And they make golf look so fun.

Gaby ~ Keeper Of The Realm gifted me this image, I think it's cute. Lookie:

** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

So your names have slipped off, huh! *Laugh* Why don't you put them back up again? *Bigsmile*

End this entry, I must. Far too pathetic, it is. Watch some TV, maybe I can. For reading, I thank you. Love each and every one of you, I do. Strangle this heat, I will!

*Rolleyes*

I know! I'll just watch Star Wars!!!

On my way home tonight I was glancing all around me, the shops, the streets, the people- Pilar Village, Las Piñas City, Manila. This place is amazing. Recently there's been talks of us moving to Toronto by February next year, and in a way that saddens me. I'm in love with where I am now.

Pilar is a huge village with a thriving community. We have all kinds of shops, bars, sari-sari stores at every corner, restaurants, eateries, schools, churches, markets, malls, hang outs, doobie laboratories, you name it, we have it. Our village is one of the prettiest in Las Piñas, it is well kept and is always growing. But the best thing about it are the people. However large this village is, wherever you go you're bound to see someone you know. It's a very comfy place—my friends and I walk around all the time, especially at nights, where the air is cool and there are bright and twinkling lights everywhere you look. That sounds sappy doesn't it. But it really is pretty, take my word for it (as long as you don't walk around too long and encounter someone dangerous in the process)

Tonight I was out with five guys—all very close friends. We had something to eat and then we had coffee and then played some pool and then had a couple of beers, then we ate again. Somehow the six of us ended up standing at some corner in Rose Avenue, one of my favorite places in Pilar. It's really cool—we have two bars along that avenue, a coffee shop, a carwash cafe, lots of eateries, and I'm not kidding, everytime we're there we always see a high school classmate or a frat mate or a neighbor or a relative or whatever. It's a really happy place, it doesn't matter what you're doing or whatever, there's just this certain ambience.

So anyway the six of us ate at some gotohan, a unique restaurant-like kind of place that I can't really describe with words, and afterwards we were all standing at the corner talking and laughing. Then there was that moment when Kuku was hugging a street indicator pole, Soc was waving at someone he knew, Ramon was lighting a cigarette, Mike and Kirbee were talking loudly, and as I leaned on the pole beside Kuku I suddenly felt really sad. I whispered to him, "Do you think there are gotohans in other countries?" Kuku gave me a goofy grin then shook his head, and I smiled. "Only in the Philippines, huh?" I said. He chuckled and said, "Maybe in Japan?" Haha. But you get how I'm feeling, right.

There's lots of "Only in the Philippines" stuff. Tapsihans. Lugawans. Bulaluhans. Talipapa, Baclaran, Quiapo, Tagaytay, Baguio. Our way of life is just really different. It's lively and carefree and happy. Even with drinking and partying? The truth is we rarely have parties in here, I mean real, full-fledged ones, but we always have some inuman going on. Probably the most used and common phrase among us friends are "SHOT TAYO!" It doesn't matter if we have anything to celebrate about, we just get together, find some place, usually at some friend's garage or out in the streets, then we set up a long or large circular table, then set chairs all around it. My friends always start with something hard and some pulutan for me (food that goes along with the drink and stuff), then the shot glass goes around where each takes turn with a swig, and into the night that goes on and on until the drink is gone, then we buy some beers, and into the night that goes on, too. The fun thing is that we always start with just a couple of people but as the night progresses you'll always see more people on the table. A friend might have accidentally passed by, BAM c'mere, sit and take a shot. Another friend who had just gotten off of work happens to drive by, yes, of course he also joins in. Then a neighbor passes by, BAM you go sit here and have a shot, too. And see the thing isn't all about the alcohol and getting wasted, it's about the companionship and how great it is to have some real down time with your friends.

Moving to Canada would be a really big step. I'm torn about the whole thing, I guess. I'm overjoyed that I will be with my mother again, but at the same time sorta afraid of such huge changes. I love my mom so much and I want to always be with her, but truthfully giving up life here would be very saddening... a little painful, actually.

So anyway! Earlier today I got together with Aiza and a bunch of other friends, so here's a pic. I tried not to show my metallic teeth but miserably failed.

** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

The photo is too dark! Is the photo too dark? If yes, then good, you won't see the metals too much *Angry* If not, then... *Blush*
