I finally figured out what NAFO is and went to VOCM to find news.

What exactly is Canada and therefore Newfoundland and Labrador giving up? I can't imagine the brightest-of-the-bright in Ottawa would know a fish if it bit them. So, please shed some light.

Lovely cadence, sad mood. The third to the last stanza is brilliant in the images of the washing of the feet, and so much more that is unsaid.

"That is were you are right now" I think you meant where instead of were.
This wonderful, insightful writing of yours reminds me, in part, of one of my poems:

In the Chrysalis

Today, in the world I took such a hit;
I’ve laid down my weapons, finally quit.

Ah, the couch of comfort, if only it could, it would. It tries in its own way as it molds around the sitter taking on the very form and not minding at all that it is left distorted for the effort. The couch is the kindest of souls, always welcoming. And yet, even it breaks down as nature has its way and must be replaced with the new. And once again, a relationship is formed that cannot be betrayed. Good couch! Thank you for the nights and days of quiet companionship.

That was a quote I just heard...well it's a para- phrase but that's the gist of it.
Machines build to kill, certainly are barbarous relics that show our inhumanity.

With that said I have hunted, killed, and eaten the game I've shot.
