Welcome to the Cliché Story Challenge, a writing contest with prizes such as merit badges, awardicons and GPs.


*Question* WHAT IS CLICHE?*Question*
[Definition taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cliche] A cliché is a saying, expression, idea, or element of an artistic work which has been overused to the point of losing its original meaning or effect, rendering it a stereotype, especially when at some earlier time it was considered meaningful or novel.
One can consider a cliché to be a sort of stereotypical instance of a category of concepts.

For this round, the prompt is OPEN. As long as your story involves a cliché in it, then your story will be qualified for judging.

1. Only short stories are allowed for this contest. No chapters, poetry, essays, etc. Maybe in future rounds, but definitely not now.

2. Story must not exceed 13+.

3. You can submit up to 2 stories only. If you wish to enter more, each story will cost 100 GPs. However, only ONE story per author can be awarded.

4. Maximum word count for this round is 5000 words.

5. Stories NEED to be submitted in bitem format. If you don't know how it works, click on the link below.

9. You can edit as many times as you want. However, if you edit AFTER the deadline, your story will be disqualified.
