October Novel Prep Challenge

I'm laughing although I should cry.
After thinking of my main character's mother as Sandie for a whole month, I am changing her name to Irene, because it's clashing with hurricane Sandy, and I have to mention the hurricane in the novel since it takes place this year in NYC.
I hope I don't goof as I write.
Note to self: Next year, I'll get the projected hurricane names to not use them.
