| Is it possible to change a setting and have it go back to where I was before I hit the save button? It is cumbersome to look for my place each time. If there is a setting I can change? How do I do it? Thanks Leila

| Greets, Unfortunately, with the regular edit system available to Upgraded members, submitting the form has to refresh the page and there's no means for us to put you back where you were. Our Premium Membership, however, does include a "Full Screen Edit" function that gives you a better editor to use directly on the site. Its "Save and Edit" feature works a bit more like a word processor and it doesn't refresh the page when you click it -- and you can also use Ctrl-S to save while using it. It's one of the great features we include with Premium memberships. Here's a quick screenshot my view of the "Full Screen Edit" for this Tech support forum body: (The Full Screen Editor works for both Item's and Book Item entries.) Aside from that, if you stick to Upgraded, you might be better off writing locally on your computer and then copying the results into your Writing.Com items, via copy and paste, after you're done with an editing session. | In addition to what the StoryMaster said, You can do it old school. Put in a character string of odd characters not likely to be in your text, like #####. Save it. When the page reloads, use the browser find (crtl-f) with that character string to jump right back to your place. Take out the character string, and keep going. Hope that helps. ~~Image #6000 Sharing Restricted~~ ~~Image #603504 Sharing Restricted~~ |
