What other exposure to Steampunk do you have?

I don't have them. But I enjoyed Sherlock Holmes growing up. I also liked H.G Wells. But as far as writing it I haven't the foggiest clue how to begin but I want to take the challenge. Push through my comfort zone and see what I can do as a writer.
