Hello,

Sorry, I know I have already asked this question but I think I am still having issues. I have uploaded my prologue and first chapter to my book, using the book feature to create a new item. As I am a newbie it is not appearing in the list of Read A Newbie as my poem that I posted yesterday did. So I am not sure whether my book is actually visable to people or not?

Also struggling how to get it to order my entries properly. I have read the articles about this but it's not working. Very frustrating that when you go in and try to change the default setting to say Last Entry First it won't stay that way and keeps returning to default. What am i doing wrong???

Sorry I am not very good at this website stuff

Thank you
Amare

It is visible.

I think the "Read a Newbie" feature only has static items, not books, blogs, etc. Yes, some people have novels there, but those are in individual items, not books. Doing it as a book - like you - does make it easier for reviewers to read.

As to getting the book in an order.

Click on the gear icon at the top and select "Manage Book".

You will see boxes appear next to each entry. The higher the number, the higher up the list the entry is. So, in this box, number the prologue "1000" and chapter 1 "950" and when you complete the next chapter go back to manage book and give it the number "900" and so on.

Hope that helps.

Thank you so much for letting me know it's visable, that's what i really wanted to know. Sometimes I get messages saying success let your followers or readers know you've posted something new and other times I don't so I just don't know where it sits. So would I be right in saying that if I can see it in my portfolio then its out there?

I will go back and try that numbering system again. I did try it last night but it didn't work so I will have another go. Sorry to be pain in the butt but thank you so much for responding, really appreciate it.
