Who you talking to??

Often, in real life, if I'm doing a task by myself, for example, I end-up talking to myself.
Maybe I'm complaining about something related to the task, or maybe trying to figure-out something or another that is complex.
I've been talking to myself for years. Also, I don't really care if others are around and see me talking to myself.

Do you do this or something similar?
Do you write characters, including stories with yourself in it, that talk to themselves?
