Oh, yeah, for sure. If I'm doing anything with jargon I'm not familiar with I look it up.

I also, often, want to reference something I've seen but don't know the formal name of. I live in New York. Every coffee cup has that Greek square-spiral pattern on it. What the heck do you call that if you want to talk about it in a story!? Turns out it's the Greek Meander or Greek Key. Who knew?
