I also review it as an item. It is here, so needs to be reviewed, and the review, without the contest background, could really help the person with the contest.

Having said that, I will take into account word count limitations some contests inflict upon their contestants. So if a tale feels very abbreviated, and the contest had a 300 word limit, I will take that into account and not hit them for tell v show and truncated action.

But, really, review as you normally would. It could help them anyway.
