Noticing Newbies

         I'm new on here and I was honestly just hoping for some encouragement. because of the type of fantasy novels I write, it is extremely difficult to get my family or friends to actually read it. I use a pen name because a lot of people in my family do not actually know the type of things I write. Not bad, just dark. Does anyone else struggle with having no one to read your manuscript to get genuine feedback? My husband is the only one who has gone through my entire first 2 novels, and I'm pretty sure he is getting a bit bored with my constant, "I just wrote this can you read it and tell me your opinion?" before he goes to bed.
