Welcome to Writing.Com, Sadie Campbell  . It's difficult to jump right in and get your works read and reviewed right away. Unfortunately, it takes time. As BIG BAD WOLF is Merry pointed out, an XGC rating tends to knock many readers out of the running because of the very high rating. Many members limit their reading and reviewing to items 18+ and below.You can post items with an XGC rating in "The GC+ Shameless "Plug" Page"  . Or better yet, I read your opening. As a standalone, it doesn't meet the XGC rating. Apparently, you are planning to add items to your Book. But they aren't visible yet. As such you might lower your rating for this opening leaving it as a separate item. Once you add higher rated items to your book, the higher rating must apply, thereby limiting who might read it.I might have already mentioned about you searching for other fantasy groups and members. Look under Browse By Type --> Groups, then type fantasy in the search box, and contact the host of any item or group that looks promising to you. Best of luck in all your writing endeavors.
