JACE is correct in what he says about getting others to read your work, and the Content Rating System (CRS). In defense of many on this site, if I open a story or poem to read, I'll rate it. Most of the time, probably 80%. Why? Because a lot of my reviews are gotten through 'Read & Review' browsing, and some of what I see just don't interest me. I read them all, but sometimes I just find it hard to write an adequate review. So I don't. Shame on me!
