One regret I had happened is when I was in third grade. I was a bit of a show-off.
One day, the teacher had to step away. I immediately went to her chair. As I was about to sit down, another student placed his pencil on the chair, point up.
It took over three months before the doctor found a few pieces of graphite in me. An operation to finally remove the pencil was scheduled.
It was over six inches long. From what I was told by the doctor, when he was removed it. everyone present stopped talking.
Two take aways:
- I stopped showing off in class.
-When someone would tell me to, "Get the lead out", my response was, "It already has."
