I actually misread the question. Gotta stop doing that. I thought it was asking how much responsibility people take for the amount of time they spend on social media. Not sure how I got that.

To the behavior question... I think the vast majority of people know what they're doing online when they act out of line. But it's the internet, so most of them don't care. We hide behind screens and there's little to no consequences.
