"Rabbitfolk-type characters just hopping around". I see what you did there! It depends on the story. Often the (main) character is a stand-in for me, and other times they're based on people in my life--family, friends, library patrons, or just people I've observed in passing. Characters are the most important part of any story I read or watch, so when I find myself falling in love with one I try to determine why this character is so important to me. Sometimes that's a main character of a work, but sometimes not. But I try to learn what it is the creator did that makes that character compelling to me. I always hope this will help me when creating my own characters. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
