About This Newsletter

It was a brilliant idea. Really it was! ...*Witch*

Letter from the editor

‘Twas the week before Christmas ...

“Hey guys! What do you thinK? Do the walls look sturdy enough, or should there be more support?"

“Webbie, It looks good! Let’s add the door, now. And perhaps we should add a couple windows too.”

“Yes! windows would look great. I hope they're not too difficult to install."

*Clock2* *Clock2* *Clock2*

We spent hours that day doing all the finishing touches. We even checked it twice. The eggnog flowed from the samovar with care, (Who says one only uses them for tea?) In hopes that the workers would remain there. After all, this would be a party to remember! The all American holiday building project!

Looking at the walls as they stood, one person stated they’ll never remain upright. Another said more support for the base is absolutely necessary. Me? I sent them over for more eggnog and whatever holiday spirit they needed to add to it.

I had to admit, it did look pretty when the windows were added! This construction stuff is not all that complicated. No experts needed—just a few friends and family helpers for a huge DIY party! That was all that was required. Not to mention good vodka, and rum-pum-pum-PUM! *Bottles3*

The last part was to about to be added... When suddenly, as if an earthquake rumbled below my feet, the unsteadiness became obvious. I stepped out of the way just in the St Nick of time before wall number one collapsed, forcing another wall to fall, and cracking in pieces like a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle attacked by an angry toddler!

One thing left to do … grab pieces of gumdrop frosted walls and salute to another DIY project gone awry. Or is that rye? *Bottle4*

Why oh why did I think turning a holiday party into a giant Gingerbread house building event was a cool idea?

Everyone in the room gasped at the sight.

Happy Holidays to all!

And to all a good night!

See you next year, folks! ...
