Should I introduce new Pokémon for this specific world?

Poll Question:
I'm going to get started on the new fusion world that mixes the anime, game, and manga characters. Naturally, it's going to take me some time to work out the interactions between them.

Here's the thing: I want to include the TCG mechanics/gimmicks as well, as I'm using a TCG plot to do this in the first place.

Would you be willing to try include these Pokémon in the story, or should I not even bother to research them?
