This poem reflects on how nature speaks to us through its many wonders. |
| The soft melodies echoed along the treeline Tree limbs swayed gently in the steady breeze A solemn oasis for the bold and free My ears caught remnants of an unknown chorus That was the song of the birds Deer pranced along the untouched dew My eyes stunned by the beauty of a sunrise The lake glistened with a golden glow Its reflection pierced my sleepy eyes That was the spectacle of the sun Mellow ripples materialized from a lonesome duck Its silky feathers glided gracefully My feet dangled into the icy water The ripples grew ceaselessly That was dialogue of the water Vibrant leaves floated down from a towering oak Each branch portrayed a new story Its wisdom echoed amongst each root Every scar showed resilience through the storms That was the might of the tree Nature speaks when we listen It will never tell us a lie I trust what it gives me All of life was made unique So let’s answer when it calls to us |
