A look at Steve Harrington’s growth choosing courage, loyalty & staying when it matters |
| I stayed I wasn’t meant to be the hero, Just a guy with good hair and loud friends, Trying to look fearless While not knowing who I really was. I thought being liked was enough, Thought popularity could keep me safe, But monsters don’t care who you date Or how cool you look in the halls. So I stayed. With shaking hands and a stupid bat, I learned that bravery isn’t confidence— It’s choosing not to run anyway. I protect because someone has to. I joke because fear is heavy. I fight because leaving Would hurt worse than staying. I’m not perfect. I mess up, I doubt, I fall back— But I always stand up again, For the kids, for my friends, for what’s right. I wasn’t born a hero. I became one The moment I cared more Than I was afraid. |
