The Prayer

just a prayer that I found I couldn't find the words to express and still can't

Jesus, take my groans, take my utterances
And voice them in a simple prayer
Take the words I cannot express
And to Your Father declare
Take the tears that flow
The humility I bear
And grant unto me
Your everflowing care
In Your presence I find
Blessings so sweet, so fair
My sinfulness surrounds me
My unworthiness is not unaware
But, O gracious God, just to speak
A simple but loving prayer
To my Father, in words unknown
I express the love you share
