Poet Deborah Jo Brooks-Langford was born in Gastonia, NC July 1951. She was the oldest of eight kids.My Father Floyd Was a soldier in the US ARMY. His people were from Cherokee Hills of NC the Cherokee Indians. My mother's people came from the England.I went to High School, In Columbia SC. Those were some good years.I always like to write but never thought I could do anything with it. But after wanting to understand the things that happened to me when I was young I started putting pen to paper and couldn't stop.
