Unrivaled tragedy. As a teacher, a dialogue needs to begin about these big schools where kids become faceless and unknown. It is to easy to pick on a kid you never have to talk too nor interact with. Even though 1150 students isn't anywhere near as high as some (we have several with 3000) think smaller schol sizes would help with bullying and situations like this for more reasons than I have characters here to explain. Good teachers who show they care - model it - hinder bullying too. Peace

Sadly, bullying occurs in any school, no matter how small. I live in a village--a town that hasn't even reached city status (total pop. under 5k) Even here, we see the effects of such things. Last year, an 8th grader shot & killed himself as a result of bullying. I don't see this so much as a problem with the schools, but defective parenting/society. People need to teach, learn, & practice basic human values like empathy & compassion.

Ugh. *yawn* Stayed up until 2 am laughing on the phone with Mara ♣ McBain Probably didn't fall asleep until after 3. Everytime I started to doze off, I would think about dying elephant noises and Jetson-ing it up a flight of stairs and would start laughing all over again! I felt like I was riding out a violent eathquake on my mattress...We really shouldn't go more than a day or two without talking again. It's just not safe! *Laugh*

Hmm. Not off the top of my head, no I don't. *Sad* the best advice I could give would be to read through some of the poems listed on WDC and find a poet that writes poety in froms similar to what you use, and whose work you admire. By reading them you can learn a lot from how they are executed and I'm sure if you asked, they would be willing to help. Hope that helps! *Heart*

Hope you're on the mend. My sister had tubes in her ears when she was about 30 years younger than she is now. I still remember how she cried on an hourly basis. My sincerest get well wishes to you.
