I shall not ever forget
The soft warm sweetness Of your lips, Even though, as time went by, They said cruel hateful Things to me. Things that hurt my heart and made Me turn from you and Then from life. And I came to know those lips Were unfaithful and Cold as ice. And I learned how easy It was for those lips To hurt me. But I have lips too and I Have told yours to leave For always. And I will talk to others Who are loving nad Have warm lips. I'll walk in the sunshine and Forget I knew you. If I did.
