My Daddy's Poem
My dad, wrote this many years ago.

My dad, who is a retired minister, wrote this.

I've always had an urge to write
Some profound truth to bring to light;
To move men's souls to God above,
To plumb the depths of His great love.

I wish that I might some day see
What God had planned to do with me,
What mighty deeds He'd have me do
Before this life of mine is through.

But then, it seemed I heard Him say,
"My son, Go work for me today.
I have a lowly task for you,
A lower path to lead you to.

I have a way you do not see,
I have a plan to set men free
By showing man the way from strife,
The way to everlasting life."

My dad's 'lowly task' was what led me to my relationship with God our Heavenly Father. I think that makes the 'lowly task' become one of high importance.
