Elevator Encounter
You're alone on the elevator with this weird guy . . . and the elevator stops.

         The elevator stopped with a creak and a grinding crash. The emergency lights came on.

         I looked at the other passenger. He looked at me.

         "We're between floors," I said.

         He nodded. His smile was strangely distant.

         "We're between worlds also," he said and grinned.

         That's when I noticed his tentacles and the long fangs.
