YOU GAVE ME WINGS

I gathered them all together,
poems of every shape and size.
I was hoping my poems were better,
thinking I was, well - pretty wise.

The pages were set and ready
to be sent away to a publisher
It was accepted with changes.
I can't remember what they were!

I sent some pretty pictures
to liven up each and every page,
but they only accepted a few
(that was in the early stage!)

A couple months of waiting
and now, at last, I can see
another book that was created
that means a lot to me!

Five books in print, and working on #6 - Self-publishing is expensive, these two were accepted and printed free through www.PublishAmerica.com - Who knows what I'll do with the next one...lots of work, editing and then, maybe the pen will drop from these aged hands - but as long as there is www.Writing.com, I continue to be inspired
