After You'd Gone
Just a piece of poetry that sums up my life.

I wish that you had seen me
After you'd gone,
thinking you would turn back,
Realising I was wrong.

After you'd gone,
I had a little cry,
I didn't think you were like that,
My throat went all dry.

After you'd gone,
I wished you were there,
Sitting down next to me,
Even if you'd be pretending to care.

After you'd gone,
they all had to watch
me sitting there on my own
While you treated me like another notch

on your bedpost. Well
I'm not going to be there any more
After you'd gone
You should have known the score.
