Thinking Death

The door is locked,
The gun is cocked -
A steady breath
And thinking death.

End the chatter
Unending banter
Just make it stop
The stage and props

I take a drink
I'm on the brink
There's no more tears
And no more fears

One time I sung
When I was young
Aged by mischance
And all the cants .

So one last sigh
Before I try
To end this life
So filled with strife

The door is locked,
The gun is cocked -
A steady breath
And thinking death.
