A dark poem about past fears and being abandoned at the age of twelve by my mother. |
-The Fear of Once Was- - by Keaton Foster At the tender age of twelve, A boy’s destiny was defined. A mother’s choice was made, A stronger love has never been lost. The pain of it all was explored, Through every level of being. The imagine so clear, The emotions so raw. The experience was deafening to the soul. As the cab drove away, a fate was sealed, The bond between mother and child stolen. A trust once given was forever broken. The binds of a boy had fallen away. The challenge began to find ones purpose In a world of chaos and uncertainty. Through happenstance, divinity was found. A life was accounted for. The pain and the memories of it linger on.
