A poem summarizing the beatitudes.
Be persecuted for the king of light
Receive the kingdom for your plight.

Purify your inner sanctums and your heart,
And see God, where all things start.

Be blessed when you weep tears,
Be comforted, and have no fears.

Hunger and thirst for righteousness,
And be filled with your addictedness.

Though meekness has little worth,
The meek shall inherit the earth.

Be merciful, sing mercy’s song,
And you’ll get mercy for your wrongs.

If you are spiritually poor,
The kingdom of heaven will be yours.

Mediate the world’s wars and fights,
You will be called children of the light.
