A mirrored acrostic for A Poem a Day Contest. |
| Arise, self, and drink some tea! Pen in hand, fresh from a nap, offer an idea or two. Energize a bit of verse, mix in a dash of rhythm. As the tide pulls back the sea, draw back the spiritless shroud. A poem is an arena you fill with your energy. Cogitate the bric-a-brac or free-form and just let go. Nudge a hesitant notion to at least get up and point. Enter daily, limit one, swim free within the waters. Then, on Saturday, eat out. [Rhythm: 7] (Lines: 16) PAD July 10, 2012 Prompt: A Poem-a-Day Contest Form: Mirrored acrostic of, “A Poem-a-Day Contest” (Spells out, “A Poem-a-Day Contest,” down front and back.) |
